KatadataOTO – Some time ago, the Honda electric motorcycle, the CUV e:, received massive price cuts.

The Honda CUV e: itself is offered in two variants. The price range is from Rp 54.4 million to Rp 59.6 million.

However, at that time, a dealer in Bandung offered a discount of up to Rp 41 million. From an on-the-road price of Rp 60.47 million, it became Rp 19.3 million.

Meanwhile, at the Jakarta Fair 2025 event, the CUV e: was offered for Rp 20 million from its normal price of Rp 50 million, and the EM1 e: was discounted from Rp 40 million to Rp 17 million.

Previously, it was known that the price cut was a policy from the dealer. Responding to this, PT Astra Honda Motor explained that there was a discount program at that time.

“So, we did have a (discount) for a certain period to give consumers the opportunity to own our CUV e:,” said Ahmad Muhibbuddin, General Manager of Corporate Communication at PT AHM, when met in Jakarta on Thursday (14/08).

Although reluctant to disclose sales figures for the Honda electric motorcycle line, he emphasized that both Honda electric motorcycle models received a positive response from consumers.

He further highlighted that the price cut program was not only given to Honda electric motorcycles as a strategy to attract consumers.

“It's not just the CUV e:, but other products as well,” he asserted.

Previously, the Honda dealer representative for the Jakarta and Tangerang region, PT Wahana Makmur Sejati, recorded a satisfactory number of electric motorcycle orders during the Jakarta Fair 2025.

The discounts or price cuts implemented there are believed to be one of the supporting factors.

“The sale of more than 300 Electric Vehicle (EV) units during the Jakarta Fair is an initial step towards an environmentally friendly mobility ecosystem,” said Olivia Widyasuwita, Division Head of Sales at PT Wahana Makmur Sejati, in her official statement some time ago.

Overall, the company claims to have received around 5,000 Vehicle Purchase Orders (SPK) during the exhibition period.
