Honda Genio Gets a Refresh, New Colors, Priced in the Rp 20 Million Range

KatadataOTO – The Honda Genio scooter gets a refresh with a new combination of colors and striping, strengthening the retro feel of this motorcycle aimed at the younger generation.

This time, the lowest type of the Honda Genio, the CBS variant, is offered in two colors or Special Color.

The model is wrapped with white rims and a combination of three colors, namely red, white, and blue, as well as vibrant black and white.

Then for the Honda Genio CBS-ISS variant, the appearance is more minimalist. There is a new color option, Fabulous Matte Brown.

Meanwhile, other existing Honda Genio colors, namely Fabulous Matte Green and Fabulous Matte Black, are embedded with new and simple striping graphics.

The presence of the refreshed Honda Genio is expected to attract young generation consumers who are fans of retro scooters and capable performance.

“We are confident that the New Honda Genio can provide a comfortable and enjoyable riding experience,” said Octavianus Dwi, Marketing Director of PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) in an official broadcast, quoted Thursday (30/10).

There are no changes to the technical specifications of the Honda Genio. Its heart is still a 110 cc SOHC eSP engine with a PGM-FI injection combustion system.

This configuration is claimed to make the Honda Genio fuel-efficient. The addition of the Idling Stop System (ISS) also helps to increase efficiency.

According to PT AHM's claim, an internal test using the WMTC method on the Honda Genio shows that the motorcycle's fuel consumption is 59.1 kilometers per liter with the ISS active.

It can then produce 6.6 kW of power, equivalent to 8.9 hp at 7,500 rpm, and a peak torque of 9.3 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

Power is delivered responsively with the help of ACG Starter technology, while still maintaining a quiet engine sound.
