KatadataOTO – Honda introduces the latest version of the AirBlade scooter, filling the same class as the Yamaha Aerox 155.

In Southeast Asia, the Honda AirBlade 160 and 125 were first introduced in the Vietnamese market. Several changes have been made by this Japanese manufacturer.

It should be noted, the Honda AirBlade is not yet available in Indonesia. However, the model has the potential to be introduced to consumers in the country.

According to Honda Vietnam, the AirBlade 160 receives a visual update, a new logo, and more attractive color combinations.

The sport type combines white and gray colors with red stitching details on the seat. Meanwhile, the Special Edition variant is wrapped in Matte Black and Matte Blue and features a chromatic logo.

Meanwhile, the standard variant has a different and simpler character, using colors that are in high demand among AirBlade 160 consumers in Vietnam: Glossy Red and Glossy Black.

At a glance, in terms of posture and body design, the Honda AirBlade looks like a combination of the Vario 160 and Beat offered in the country.

Although it falls into the large scooter category, the Honda AirBlade has a compact and slim appearance with sharp lines across the vehicle's body.

Despite many design changes, the Honda AirBlade's engine remains the same. It uses a single-cylinder eSP+ engine claimed to produce 11.2 kW, equivalent to 15.2 hp at 8,000 rpm. Then, its peak torque is 14.8 Nm at 6,000 rpm.

However, in the latest edition of the Honda AirBlade, the 125 cc engine variant has been equipped with a new braking system: the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

The top-tier Honda AirBlade is sold for 58.9 million VND. When converted to the rupiah exchange rate, this figure is equivalent to around Rp 37.3 million.

If PT Astra Honda Motor introduces this product in Indonesia, the Honda AirBlade could become a new large scooter option to directly challenge the Yamaha Aerox.

However, as of now, there is no information regarding the arrival of the Honda AirBlade for consumers in the country.
