KatadataOTO – MAKA Motors' first Electric Motorcycle was caught on camera during a filming process. For your information, the product is scheduled to be officially launched on Wednesday (13/01).

This is the second time information about the vehicle has been leaked. Because it was recently revealed that MAKA Motors has registered a patent with the DJKI.

From there, it can be seen that the unit has an interesting shape. The scooter-type vehicle has a large body like the Maxi Models.

Based on the circulated photos, the vehicle's license plate has a blue accent. This indicates it is an electric motorcycle model.

“Looking at the photo, there is indeed a resemblance to our motorcycle. The one we are launching has a very cool and sturdy design,” said Raditya Wibowo, CEO of MAKA Motors in a written statement (13/01).

The manufacturer stated that the unit's development was carried out according to the tastes of the Indonesian people. Because they have their own R&D center, they are able to meet consumer needs.

Based on the invitation received by the KatadataOTO editorial team, the launch of MAKA Motors' first electric motorcycle product will take place on January 15, 2025.

The price prepared for the vehicle is around the Rp 40 million range. This price is similar to other electric motorcycles on the market.

Besides offering an attractive design, MAKA Motors claims to have developed a product that is enjoyable to ride. Thus providing comfort for its owners.

Born as an electric vehicle, MAKA Motors also offers an exceptional travel range. As a result, it eliminates range anxiety for consumers.

“The range (of our motorcycle) is also very far, it could be the farthest for an electric motorcycle in Indonesia,” Raditya later revealed.

The competition for electric vehicles in the country is especially fierce for two-wheelers. Various brands from China have entered and are marketing their respective flagship units here.

The main attraction offered is a more affordable price. However, in terms of quality, it is still unproven.

Meanwhile, among Japanese manufacturers, only AHM (Astra Honda Motor) and Kawasaki have launched electric motorcycles. Other manufacturers are still hesitant to introduce two-wheeled EVs.

It will be interesting to await the first product from MAKA Motors in Indonesia.
