KatadataOTO – AHM (Astra Honda Motor) apparently not only displayed their concept electric motorcycle at IIMS 2025. But also showcased the Honda Monkey 2025 model.
This petite two-wheeled vehicle comes with new color options and designs, at the exhibition at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.
First, the Honda Monkey gets a Pearl Cadet Gray color option. The entire body is dominated by gray.
The color above complements the new color choices. For example, Millenium Red and Turmeric Yellow, which IIMS 2025 visitors can own.
“The Honda Monkey has always had its own charm, especially for those who make motorcycles a part of their lifestyle,” said Octavianus Dwi, Marketing Director of AHM, on Thursday (13/02).
Octa said the refresh on the product gives it an increasingly captivating and attention-grabbing look.
It also remains unique for hobbyist motorcycle enthusiasts. Especially those who want to look different and dare to express their style.
“With the latest stripe refresh, we want to present an increasingly unique and iconic choice for consumers looking for a hobby motorcycle who are also challenged to look unique, fun, and fashionable,” he continued.
For your information, the Honda Monkey still offers a modern and retro impression. This is thanks to the embedded LED lighting system at the front and rear.
Then there is also a round, full digital meter panel. It displays various information, such as speed, odometer, and fuel consumption.
To strengthen the retro impression, the Honda Monkey is equipped with a 3D Old Wing logo. Then the front fender, exhaust cover, and mirrors are chrome-plated.
Meanwhile, for the engine, it carries a 125 cc SOHC 4-speed, PGM-FI engine.
It is claimed to be able to produce a maximum power of 9.2 hp at 6,750 rpm. While the peak torque reaches 11 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
The Japanese manufacturer claims the Honda Monkey's frame is able to produce a balance between appropriate rigidity and flexibility.
It is said to be very suitable for various terrain conditions. So it can be relied upon to cut through traffic jams on city streets.
On the other hand, the Honda Monkey has a wheelbase of 1,145 mm. The seat height from the ground is only 775 mm and the ground clearance is 175 mm.
When discussing safety features, the Honda Monkey is equipped with a single-channel ABS braking system combined with an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit).
It is worth noting that the price of the Honda Monkey is around Rp 87.1 million OTR (On The Road) for the Special Capital Region of Jakarta.
