KatadataOTOQJMotor officially entered Indonesia some time ago. The manufacturer from China immediately brought in four products at once.

They also claimed to be preparing four more new motorcycles in the second semester. However, all of them still rely on gasoline engines.

This manufacturer is not yet interested in entering the electrification segment, unlike other manufacturers.

“Actually, we also have electric motorcycles in China. However, we are still studying it,” said Budi Kurniawan, VP of Branding & Marketing Communication at PT QJMotor Industry Indonesia in South Jakarta, on Tuesday (25/03).

For your information, one of the EVs (Electric Vehicles) they have is the RX Electric Sportbike, which features a sporty design.

The product also has a modern aura. Because it is already equipped with a Full LED lighting system and a digital TFT meter panel.

As for the powertrain, if converted to a conventional vehicle, the QJMotor RX Electric Sportbike has an electric motor equivalent to 125 cc.

Despite all its advantages, they do not yet intend to bring the aforementioned electric motorcycle to offer to consumers in Indonesia.

“Even if we do (bring in electric motorcycles), it won't be done in the near future,” Budi continued.

On the other hand, QJMotor claims that their conventional two-wheeled vehicles have received a positive reception from the public in the country.

During the two months of marketing their products in the country, they have successfully recorded hundreds of SPK (Vehicle Order Letters).

“It's quite a lot, definitely over 200 units (ordered),” he said.

According to them, the surge in orders occurred during the IIMS (Indonesia International Motor Show) 2025 exhibition. QJMotor managed to gather up to 135 SPK.

Budi added that of the four models that have been marketed, the QJMotor SRV 250 is still the favorite among consumers.

“In terms of percentage, it's about 60 percent (QJMotor SRV 250). Perhaps because of its unique technology,” Budi added.
