KatadataOTO – On the first day of Operasi Patuh Jaya 2025 in DKI Jakarta, the Traffic Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police took action against at least 3,572 violations. This number is expected to continue to increase in the following days.

This is because Operasi Patuh Jaya 2025 will continue until July 27, 2025.

"The number of law enforcement actions during Operasi Patuh Jaya on Monday (14/07) or the first day was 3,572 violations," said Police Commissioner Argo Wiyono, Deputy Director of Traffic for the Metro Jaya Regional Police, as reported by Antara (15/07).

Of that total, 1,920 violations were ticketed through electronic ticketing or ETLE. Meanwhile, manual tickets were issued in 69 cases, and 1,583 warnings were given.

As in previous years, two-wheeled vehicles still dominated the violations that were caught. Cases of not using Indonesian National Standard (SNI) helmets reached 982, and driving against traffic accounted for 190 cases.

"Meanwhile, violations by four-wheeled vehicles were dominated by using a mobile phone while driving with four cases and not wearing a seatbelt with 474 cases," he added.

In addition, the police are also continuing to carry out preventive activities such as counseling, distributing brochures, and installing safety-related banners. It is hoped that this will encourage drivers to be more careful on the road.

For this Operasi Patuh Jaya, the Metro Jaya Regional Police deployed a total of 2,938 joint personnel starting Monday (14/7). The operation will be carried out for 14 days, from July 14 to July 27, 2025.
