KatadataOTO – Dedi Mulyadi, the Governor of West Java, has once again become a topic of conversation. This time, it was after a video of him spread on social media.
In the post, KDM was seen getting out of his official car after being stuck in traffic in the Jalan Alternatif Sentul area, Bogor, Bogor Regency on Wednesday (11/06).
The number one person in West Java then ran towards a Transportation Agency (Dishub) patrol motorcycle. He asked for a ride to be taken somewhere.
Unfortunately, Dedi Mulyadi was not wearing a helmet while on the Bogor Regency Dishub Patrol motorcycle.
The circulating video became a public discussion. Many regretted Dedi Mulyadi's actions.
The Bogor Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) immediately imposed an electronic traffic law enforcement (ETLE) based ticket on the Bogor Regency Dishub Patrol officer, West Java.
“Yes, he was ticketed via ETLE after we investigated, as it went viral on social media,” said AKP Rizky Guntama, Head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, to Antara on Saturday (14/06).
Rizki said that they took action after Dedi Mulyadi's video went viral on social media.
The Bogor Police immediately investigated the incident. Then, they coordinated with the Bogor Regency Dishub.
Furthermore, Rizky confirmed that the electronic ticket or ETLE was not only given to the driver who gave Dedi Mulyadi a ride.
But it was also issued to the drivers who gave rides to the Regent and the Head of the Bogor Regency DPRD, for carrying out similar actions as KDM.
“Yes, all three of them (were ticketed via ETLE),” he affirmed.
For your information, enforcement using ETLE is in accordance with the National Police Chief's telegram Number ST/1302/VI/HUK.6.2./2025.
Meanwhile, the basis for the action is stipulated in Article 291 Paragraph 2 of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation, with a maximum fine of IDR 250,000.
