KatadataOTO – The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS 2025) is getting closer. The exhibition will be held from July 23 to August 3 at ICE BSD City, Tangerang.

It has its own appeal because GIIAS 2025 will have more participants. This is due to a number of Chinese brands entering Indonesia.

The hope is that with the emergence of new brands in the country, it can boost domestic car and motorcycle sales.

Moreover, in the first quarter of 2025, national car sales experienced a decrease of 4.8 percent compared to last year.

“This is considered the largest exhibition in the world, outside of China. With more than 50 brands, all will participate,” said Yohannes Nangoi, Chairman of Gaikindo, at a press conference in Jakarta, (16/04).

The arrival of GIIAS 2025 is said to be eagerly awaited by many people. Furthermore, the exhibition is considered the ‘Eid of the automotive industry’.

In total, GIIAS 2025 will be attended by more than 55 motor vehicle brands. As for the four-wheeled vehicle participants, they include Audi, Baic, BMW, BYD, Denza, Aletra, Chery, Ford, Citroen, Daihatsu, Jaecoo, Geely, GAC Aion, and GWM.

Then there are also brands like Honda, Hyundai, Jetour, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MG, MINI, Mitsubishi Motors, Neta, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Seres, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, VinFast, Volkswagen, Volvo, Polytron, and Wuling.

Then, in the two-wheeled segment, it includes Alva, Aprilia, Astra Honda Motor, Exotic, Pacific, Kupprum, Motoguzzi, Pacific, Piaggio, Maka Motor, Royal Enfield, Scomadi, Vespa, and U-Winfly.

As for the commercial vehicles that will also be participating, they include Hino, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, and UD Trucks.

The emergence of several new brands at last year's exhibition required the venue to be modified. There was a special tent at the very end, a.k.a. Hall 10.

At GIIAS 2025, it is mentioned that 7 brand-new brands will be present. Although it was stated that not all brands are from the automotive industry, it is certain that this year's event will be even more crowded.

“There are also 7 brands, both from the automotive and motor vehicle sectors, but they are completely new to the 32nd GIIAS,” said Rizwan Alamsjah, Third Chairman of Gaikindo and Chairman of the Exhibition Organizer, at the same location.
