KatadataOTO – Coachbuilder Laksana is not stopping its innovation. This includes presenting electric buses in Indonesia.
Recently, the coachbuilder from Semarang, Central Java, launched the Nucleus 6 with a futuristic look.
“The launch of the Nucleus 6 is a tangible manifestation of our ability to produce electric buses domestically,” said Stefan Arman, Technical Director of Laksana, in an official statement on Wednesday (16/05).
It is said that the Nucleus is a mini version of the Cityline series, which is commonly used as part of the Transjakarta bus fleet in the Capital City.
Furthermore, the electric bus is claimed to be usable for various activities. Such as being an airport shuttle, transporting school children, to providing pick-up and drop-off services in areas with limited road access.
Moreover, its compact dimensions make it easy for this new product from Laksana Coachbuilder to maneuver easily on narrow roads.
In addition, the Laksana Nucleus 6 is also equipped with various features to assist passengers with disabilities.
These include a ramp, priority seating, and handrails that are easily accessible to passengers.
Furthermore, the Laksana Nucleus 6 has achieved a Local Content Level (TKDN) of 41 percent. This figure is even set to be increased.
Then, the body of this electric bus is said to be compatible with chassis from other products made by VKTR, Hyundai, and Skywell.
“This is proof that the domestic industry is capable of answering the challenges of public transport electrification independently and sustainably," continued Stefan.
It is worth noting that the Laksana electric bus Nucleus 6 has a very modern appearance. This is thanks to the inclusion of LED main headlights.
On the other hand, various modern features are also included. For example, a rear-view camera, a 24-inch LED TV in the front, and a 20-inch one in the back.
Not to forget the audio head unit and audio system, a 10 or 12-inch subwoofer, a parking camera, CCTV, and a 360-degree camera.
According to reports, the Laksana Nucleus 6 electric bus will be marketed starting from Rp 600 million to Rp 900 million.
The price above depends on the specifications desired by the buyers, so the price tag will be adjusted accordingly.
As a reminder, Laksana Coachbuilder has been present in the country for almost five decades.
This company from Semarang, Central Java, has produced thousands of bus units. Both large-sized, for inter-city transportation, and for mass transit like Transjakarta.
