KatadataOTO – The PEVS 2025 event was officially closed yesterday (03/05) with several notes. The electric vehicle exhibition claimed to have exceeded its target.

Before the event took place, it was stated that the PEVS 2025 transaction target was Rp 400 billion. That figure was unchanged from last year's achievement, considering Indonesia's economic conditions.

However, at this year's event, PEVS 2025 actually achieved more than double the transactions. That nominal value could still increase, as the exhibition is still ongoing today (04/05).

“As a transaction event, there was an increase from our original target of over Rp 400 billion. But thank God, it has now reached Rp 912 billion,” said Moeldoko, Chairman of Periklindo (Indonesian Electric Vehicle Industry Association) at JIExpo, Kemayoran.

He explained that during the event, more than 183 brands were introduced. Ranging from two-wheeled, three-wheeled vehicles to buses and their supporting ecosystems.

The arrival of new brands is believed to have increased the number of visitors by 2.5 percent. Unfortunately, this was not explained in detail.

PEVS 2025 itself is not just an event to showcase the latest electric vehicles in the country, but also to provide education for visitors.

“We held 15 seminars and various other meetings. Here, there were also signings of strategic memorandums of understanding from China, Japan, and Asia,” Moeldoko then explained.

Speaking further about the achievements of PEVS 2025, transactions were still dominated by the passenger vehicle segment.

The collaboration with Asia Bike Jakarta (ABJ) also contributed to the increased achievements of the exhibition.

“Although the market is not doing so well, we can say that the exhibition has been successful so far. Because there has been an increase in visitors and temporary transactions,” said Daswar Marpaung, President Director of Dyandra Promosindo at the same location.

The success of PEVS 2025 was also supported by a number of programs that attracted the public. The activities included EV Test Drive, EV Test Ride & Bike, KOSMIK, PEVS Push Bike Race, PEV Indonesia, Auction, Rusty Project, Universitas Gajah Mada, Institut Teknologi 10 November, Politeknik Negeri Jakarta, IAM EV Fest, TimePitstop, MISS PEVS and Exclusive Buyer Gathering.

PEVS 2025 is still ongoing until 20:00 WIB today. To enter the exhibition, a ticket priced at Rp 50 thousand is required.
