KatadataOTO – The Traffic Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police reminds the public not to delay paying electronic traffic ticket fines. This is to avoid it becoming too burdensome when it's time to pay.

Moreover, violations can accumulate, so the amount to be paid will be larger.

"It is a big mistake to delay payment because the fines will continue to increase as violations accumulate," said Police Commissioner Komarudin, Traffic Director of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, as reported by Antara (05/06).

If the fine is not paid, violators will have to pay it when renewing their vehicle registration certificate (STNK). This is certainly very burdensome because the amount of money to be spent will be much larger.

The public is also advised to check independently whether they have received a ticket or not.

How to Check Vehicle Ticket Status

  • Open the etle-pmj.id confirmation page
  • Enter the vehicle license plate number and reference code
  • Violation data will appear if the vehicle was caught by an ETLE camera
  • Traffic violators must confirm online after receiving a confirmation letter. Confirmation must be made within a maximum of 8 days from when the violation occurred.
  • If the vehicle owner does not confirm, the vehicle's STNK will be temporarily blocked until confirmation is made.
