KatadataOTO – A video went viral on social media because it showed a child suddenly getting out and falling from a moving bus on the toll road. In the video, the bus is seen in the rightmost lane.

Fortunately, he was not hit by the car behind him because it managed to brake. Reported from the Instagram account @dashcam_owners_indonesia, the incident occurred on the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) toll road, Joglo Ciledug - Veteran Bintaro section.

The Traffic Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police also provided a chronological explanation of the incident. They revealed that the incident occurred on Monday (30/6) on the JORR Toll Road KM 12 (A) lane 3, around Joglo, West Jakarta.

"A bus with the words 'Mabes AD' was traveling from Meruya towards Ciledug, then upon arriving at the scene, a small child was seen falling from the right side of the bus," said Commissioner Dhanar Dono, Head of the Highway Patrol Unit (PJR) of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, as reported by Antara (01/07).

The child was then taken by the driver of the car that was behind the bus at the time.

"The minibus driver then helped the fallen child and took them to KM 14 A (Ciledug area) to be handed back to the bus crew. After that, the vehicle continued its journey," he said.

Dhanar added that his party has checked the scene, examined and searched for the identity of the driver and the vehicle.

"We have also coordinated with the Danton Rantis of Mabes AD," he explained.

Although the child was reportedly not seriously injured, this incident should be a concern for parents in the future. This is because children must always be supervised even if the vehicle is considered safe for travel.
