Riau Holds Vehicle Tax Amnesty, Note the Date

One of the regional governments holding a vehicle tax amnesty in February 2025 is Riau.

The Riau regional government is waiving administrative sanctions for late payment fines. This was known from an Instagram post by @bapendariau.

“Administrative sanctions or fines for late vehicle tax payments are waived or made free,” they wrote.

Car and motorcycle owners can already enjoy the above relaxation. Because it has been running since January 5, 2025.

It will then end on April 5, 2025. So it is hoped that the public will immediately take advantage of the existing leniency.

“Let's support the development of Riau province by always paying vehicle taxes before the due date,” continued Bapenda Riau.

It should be noted, the leniency above does not include the SWDKLLJ (Mandatory Road Traffic Accident Fund Contribution) from Jasa Raharja.

• Original STNK (Vehicle Registration Certificate) and a photocopy
• Original KTP (ID Card) and a copy
• BPKB (Vehicle Ownership Book)
• STNK Renewal Form
• Power of attorney if represented by another person

How to Pay Vehicle Tax

• Prepare the documents listed above
• Fill out the form
• Submit the form and all required documents to the registration counter
• Wait for your name to be called
• Once called, pay the STNK renewal fee at the cashier
• Collect the proof of payment at the STNK collection counter
• Wait for your name to be called again, then collect the new STNK.
