KatadataOTO – When the tax amnesty in several provinces ended in August, Bengkulu was just starting it. The people there will enjoy a reduction in the principal Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB), PKB Surcharges, and so on until the end of 2025.
This convenience is expected to attract people to fulfill their obligations as they no longer need to worry about being fined. Moreover, the implementation period is quite long.
“We hope the burden on the public can be lighter and encourage tax payment awareness for the development of Bengkulu," said Helmi Hasan, Governor of Bengkulu, as reported by Antara (15/08).
It should be noted that this relief is stipulated in the Decree of the Governor of Bengkulu Number I.393.BAPENDA of 2025. The policy is effective from August 14 to December 31, 2025.
The reduction amount is 16.67 percent for PKB for private or private institution ownership. Then, 16.67 percent for BBN-KB and 25 percent for non-subsidized PBBKB.
Helmi Hasan explained that the policy is an implementation of Bengkulu Governor Regulation Number 19 of 2025 concerning the provision of fiscal incentives in the form of relief, reduction, exemption, and postponement of tax and regional levy payments.
The policy applies to all cars and motorcycles registered in the Bengkulu Province area.
It should be noted that several provinces in Indonesia do provide convenience in the form of a tax amnesty. The goal is to make it easier for people to fulfill their obligations as citizens.
One of them is DKI Jakarta, which has been holding it since June 14 and it will end on August 31, 2025. This policy is part of the celebration of two important moments from June to August 2025.
“This is part of a birthday gift for the residents of Jakarta and for the independence of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Pramono on the official website of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government some time ago.
The program is stipulated in the Decree of the Head of the Regional Revenue Agency of DKI Jakarta Province Number E-0046 of 2025 concerning the Ex-Officio Abolition of Administrative Sanctions for Motor Vehicle Tax and Motor Vehicle Title Transfer Fees.
