3 New Hybrid Cars Reportedly Launching This Month

Here are three hybrid cars expected to launch throughout June 2025.

1. Honda HR-V Hybrid

PT HPM revealed that their next hybrid model is an SUV in a class below the CR-V and will be locally assembled. This information points to the HR-V, although Honda is reluctant to elaborate further.

Honda is also increasingly publishing teasers with the theme 'Iconic Hybrid' and a number of other promotional posts involving the HR-V as an iconic vehicle from Honda.

2. Hyundai Palisade Hybrid

Before the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid, PT HMID (Hyundai Motors Indonesia) already had two HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) lines, namely the Santa Fe and Tucson.

The Santa Fe is Hyundai's only locally assembled hybrid car, while the Tucson is still fully imported from South Korea.

There is a high probability that the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid will be imported from its country of origin, just like the conventional engine Palisade in Indonesia.

3. Honda Stepwgn e:HEV

A representative from Honda Indonesia has confirmed that there are at least three new hybrid cars from PT HPM that will be launched in Indonesia.

The Stepwgn e:HEV is a strong candidate, considering the model is claimed to have received a positive response from consumers. Even some salespeople have started offering potential customers to place pre-orders, although the unit is not yet available at dealers.

At the GIIAS 2024 exhibition, it was mentioned that the expected price for the Stepwgn, according to consumers, is between Rp 600 million and Rp 700 million, not much different from the Nissan Serena e-Power MPV.
