Electric Motorcycle Subsidy Ready for Inauguration in August 2025, Budget Dwindles
The electric motorcycle subsidy is reportedly getting closer to being launched by the government, according to the Deputy Minister of Industry.

“The last meeting was actually directly approved by the Minister of Finance. At that time, we were looking for the figure (subsidy amount), whether it existed or not,” Faisol affirmed.
For your information, the electric motorcycle subsidy is still considered one of the main attractions for consumers in purchasing electric two-wheeled vehicles.
In 2024, electric motorcycle sales reached 60,000 units thanks to the subsidy. However, this number is still far from the government's target.

This is because the government previously wanted 200,000 units of electric motorcycles to be sold each year.
On the other hand, in the first quarter of 2025, only 2,000 electric two-wheeled vehicles were sold. This is proof that public interest has decreased due to the lack of assistance.
So, it remains to be seen what the next news about the electric motorcycle subsidy will be. Whether it will be the same as last year or not.
