KatadataOTO – Japanese automotive manufacturers continue to look for ways to compete in the era of electrification. This includes Honda, which recently prepared a new electric motorcycle in collaboration with a Chinese factory.

Chinese manufacturers are indeed dominating the electric vehicle segment with various advantages, one of which is competitive pricing. This becomes a special attraction for potential customers.

Reported from Cycle World, Saturday (05/04), the Honda and Wuyang joint venture will present the latest electric motorcycle model with the code WH8000D.

It should be noted that previously, Wuyang-Honda had developed the U-Go electric motorcycle in 2021. That model then became the basis for the EM1 e: which is marketed in various countries.

So, there is a high chance that the motorcycle coded WH8000D will be offered to international markets, including Indonesia.

In terms of design, the WH8000D appears more eccentric and has a different concept from the EM1 e:, which has a minimalist impression and still resembles a typical scooter.

This latest model carries a cafe racer style, blending a retro feel with a rounded headlight design and pastel white color while also remaining futuristic and modern.

A full fairing in the front area of the motorcycle covers the electrical components, including the battery and electric drive, making it appear minimalist and tidy.
