How Electric Motorcycle Producers Survive When Incentives Are Still Uncertain

KatadataOTO – The certainty of incentives for electric motorcycles from the government has not yet found a clear path. Even as of today, Friday (29/08).

This condition certainly has a negative impact, especially for electric two-wheeler manufacturers in the country.

Many people are waiting for this assistance to be disbursed in order to get an electric motorcycle at an affordable price.

Automatically, a lot of electric motorcycle stock from manufacturers is stuck in warehouses, causing their business to stagnate.

"We have already felt that without incentives, a sales decline has indeed occurred,” said Budi Setiyadi, Chairman of Aismoli, when contacted by KatadataOTO some time ago.

Starting from this situation, electric two-wheeler manufacturers are taking various measures.

Take for example providing purchase incentives independently, as Alva did some time ago.

They continued to offer a discount of Rp 7 million for the purchase of Alva One to Cervo models to consumers.

The Alva program was valid nationwide and ended yesterday on August 3, 2025.

A similar method was also implemented by Polytron, applicable to all purchases of their electric motorcycles.

There is a subsidy of Rp 7 million that the public can use when they want to buy a Polytron electric motorcycle.
