The Yamaha Jog E will be released exclusively, primarily for electric scooter users in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan.

KatadataOTO – Yamaha is moving full speed ahead in introducing electric motorcycles. They have now prepared a new product.
The two-wheeled vehicle is named Yamaha Jog E. It is intended for consumers in Japan.
"Yamaha Motor Sales will release the Jog E electric motorcycle exclusively in Tokyo and Osaka," read Yamaha's announcement on their official website, Wednesday (19/11).
Visually, the Yamaha Jog E features a classic design. This is evident from the rounded shape of the main headlight.
It is also equipped with an LED lighting system. This helps the owner when riding at night.
This Electric Vehicle (EV) is also fitted with a digital meter panel. It functions to display vehicle information.
Uniquely, the rear section of the electric motorcycle at a glance looks like the design of the Honda EM1 e:.
In terms of dimensions, the Yamaha Jog E has a length of 1,795 mm, a width of 680 mm, and a height of 1,140 mm.
In the powertrain department, the Yamaha Jog E carries a drive motor with a power of 1.7 kW, equivalent to 2.2 hp, and a peak torque of 90 Nm.
The electric motorcycle is claimed to be able to travel up to 53 km on a single charge. Provided the average speed is 30 km per hour.
Another unique feature of the Yamaha Jog E is its use of a swappable battery from the Honda Mobile Power Pack e:.
"Since this sale is for the vehicle only, a paid battery swap service contract with Gachaco is required to use it," they continued.
Furthermore, Gachaco currently has 42 swap stations. Spread across Tokyo, Saitama, to Osaka.
For your information, Yamaha claims the Jog E is presented as an answer to the needs of consumers in Japan.
