KatadataOTO – Aion doesn't want to be left behind in livening up the Indonesian market. The manufacturer from China claims to be preparing a number of new models.
Especially throughout 2025, Aion intends to market several new cars to meet the needs of consumers.
“There are four products for 2025, we'll see the new variants and models later,” said Andry Ciu, CEO of Aion Indonesia some time ago.
Andry stated that all of their new four-wheeled vehicles are not just for the EV (Electric Vehicle) market.
However, he is still keeping the information about all the cars that will be marketed throughout 2025 under wraps.
“By the end of 2025, Aion's four-wheeled vehicle segment will be even more complete. Hopefully, more will be on the road,” Andry continued.
Based on the statement above, it is certain that Aion will venture into other segments. Thus, it can embrace more consumers.
“Currently, we are still constrained by imports, our desire is to have an assembly plant later so it will be easier to see Aion cars on the road,” he asserted.
As a reminder, Aion had indeed leaked that they wanted to showcase a new product at the IIMS (Indonesia International Motor Show) 2025 exhibition at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.
“We have a new car too, it's a big vehicle (in size),” said Andry Ciu.
However, he explained that Aion's new product is still in the process of being shipped from China.
Therefore, Andry Ciu hopes that all administrative stages will proceed smoothly. And that there will be no obstacles so it can be exhibited at IIMS 2025.
“Hopefully, it can get through Customs, its size is quite large, up to five meters,” he said.
For your information, Andry Ciu stated that if Aion's new car doesn't make it to the floor at JIExpo Kemayoran, they will hold a launch event at a later date.
Indeed, Aion's mission to introduce a seven-seater car has been stated by them for quite some time.
He assesses that the segment has quite a lot of enthusiasts. So it is very potential for them to play in that market.
Unfortunately, this manufacturer is still reluctant to provide detailed information about the new Aion car that will be introduced at IIMS 2025.
“Indonesian consumers really need and like 7-seater cars. Whether it's in the form of an MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) or an SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) doesn't matter,” Andry concluded his statement.
