Jetour expands its market reach to areas outside the capital, such as Bekasi, citing high consumer interest.
KatadataOTO – Jetour is expanding its market reach by opening a new dealership in the Bekasi area. Amid weakening purchasing power, the Chinese brand sees potential in areas outside the capital city.
Before its main outlet was officially opened, Jetour had opened a temporary dealership that sold 30 vehicle units to consumers.
For now, Jetour sees that consumer interest in Bekasi for the offered vehicle lineup is starting to become apparent.
“We were using a temporary dealership, and now we've finally inaugurated a larger one because the enthusiasm from consumers is also high,” said Ranggy Radiansyah, Marketing Director of Jetour Motor Indonesia in Bekasi, on Monday (03/11).
He further explained that there is currently only one Jetour dealership in the Bekasi area.
However, more will be gradually developed to meet the initial dealership target of 30 outlets throughout Indonesia by the end of 2025.
The high consumer interest indicates growing trust in Chinese car brands within the country.
Therefore, Jetour is pursuing the development of dealerships and comprehensive after-sales services to facilitate customers in the region.
Overall, Jetour dealerships are spread across 13 different locations.
“Soon (there will be an increase in the number of dealerships, including in Bekasi). Because we do have a target of 30 dealerships in the near future,” Ranggy affirmed.
However, he was reluctant to reveal in detail which model dominates sales figures in Bekasi.
It should be noted that Jetour currently only offers two Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) models, both with conventional gasoline engines.
The two products are the Jetour Dashing and Jetour X70 Plus, which are offered at prices ranging from Rp 348.8 million to Rp 359.8 million.
However, in the near future, Jetour is said to be launching a new product. Still in the SUV line, but with a boxy appearance and able to accommodate off-road needs, namely the Jetour T2.
In the initial stage, the Jetour T2 will be available with a conventional engine option. However, in the future, it will be equipped with a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) variant.
