KatadataOTO – A video showing a BMW M4 racing with Whoosh has gone viral on social media. This has gained more attention because the car was on the MBZ toll road, where a speed limit of 100 km per hour is enforced for driving safety.
The video shows two angles, one from the driver's perspective while driving the car. The other angle is from a Whoosh passenger, showing the BMW M4 overtaking other vehicles during the race.
Interestingly, the driver appeared quite relaxed while driving. He was even seen holding a mobile phone while the car was in motion.
Reported from @jkt.feed, the video originated from the Instagram account keiziaivanka. Unfortunately, when we tried to view it directly, the account had been set to private.
The viral video has also caught the attention of the police. They have even tried to summon the driver, whose identity has been successfully obtained.
But as of the writing of this news, the driver has reportedly not yet provided a clarification for his actions.
It should be noted that the BMW M4 Competition was first launched in Indonesia in 2021 and comes with a bold design. From the front, the car is equipped with the large BMW kidney grille, a hallmark of the German manufacturer.
Its appearance is made more attractive as the manufacturer has fitted it with adaptive LED headlamps combined with BMW Laserlight.
Entering the cabin, the sporty impression is still quite strong. This is because the manufacturer has installed M Sport Seats upholstered in fine-grain Merino leather, complete with electric adjustments and ventilation.
Then, BMW applied the M Carbon interior package, further strengthening the sporty feel. This is applied to the center console, steering wheel, and paddle shifters.
A 3,000 cc BMW TwinPower Turbo engine is entrusted to be its powerplant. This engine is capable of producing 510 hp and 650 Nm of torque, which is channeled to the rear wheels through an 8-speed BMW M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic.
Thanks to the immense power produced, the car can reach a speed of 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds from a standstill.
