The first BMW Body and Paint Training Center in Southeast Asia has officially opened at BMW Ultima, South Tangerang.
KatadataOTO – BMW Indonesia, in collaboration with BMW Ultima, has inaugurated its first Body and Paint Training Center in Southeast Asia.
For your information, BMW Ultima is the first and largest body and paint repair center in the country that complies with BMW AG standards.
The Training Center also represents BMW Indonesia's commitment to accommodating the needs of every customer in the country.
“It's not just a workshop, but a place where we bring BMW vehicles back to life with the same precision and care as when they were first assembled,” said Peter “Sunny” Medalla, President Director of BMW Group Indonesia in South Tangerang, on Monday (24/03).
Through the training center, they aim to continuously develop local resources and ensure that technicians handling BMW and Mini vehicles are trained to international standards.
Not only that, the existence of the training center also allows technicians to gain knowledge and education without having to be sent abroad.
“This center opens up career paths for young Indonesians who have a great interest in the field of automotive technology,” said Rudy Kusmanto, Managing Director of BMW Ultima in South Tangerang, on Monday (24/03).
Rudy further explained that the BMW training center focuses on hands-on learning using equipment and tools just like in an official service center.
“Every graduate not only knows how to repair a BMW, but also why each step is important,” Rudy emphasized.
BMW Indonesia also announced the future expansion of its Body and Paint outlet network, specifically in Pulo Gadung, East Jakarta, as well as Surabaya and Medan.
On the same occasion, BMW shared its Ramadan program where customers can continue to enjoy regular services and 24-hour Roadside Assistance.
“BMW Roadside Assistance handles everything from minor repairs to vehicle recovery,” explained Mahalingam Maganderalingam, Director of Customer Support at BMW Group Indonesia.
The hope is that BMW customers won't have to worry when making long journeys like the annual homecoming. If they encounter any problems, customers can simply use the Roadside Assistance call.
“This service is available 24 hours a day and is free for three years with every new BMW purchase,” he said.
