Gaikindo to Soon Set New Car Sales Targets for 2026

Making its debut at GIIAS 2025, the JAECOO J7 officially launched in Indonesia, offering a variety of advantages and conveniences for customers.
KatadataOTO – Chinese automotive manufacturer, JAECOO, became the main highlight on the opening day of the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025. JAECOO launched its JAECOO J7 series lineup and stated that the car comes with a new standard of smart, stylish, and connected mobility.
The car's launch announcement took place at Booth 9B, Hall 9, ICE BSD, South Tangerang. On that occasion, JAECOO officially announced the prices for the JAECOO J7 AWD (all-wheel drive) and J7 SHS (super hybrid system).
JAECOO Indonesia Country Director Max Zhou said that the J7 SHS Discover is not just a new model, but a bold statement of JAECOO's mission. “It is to raise the standard regarding the customer experience in Premium SUVs,” said Zhou, quoted from a written statement on Tuesday (24/7).
Additionally, the JAECOO J7 series is now available in a special edition called Discover, which features an exclusive modified look and features. To get this Discover edition, customers only need to add Rp20,000,000 to the price of the standard SHS model.
This special price is valid for the first 1,000 customers, from an initial modification price of Rp35,000,000. The official prices for the JAECOO J7 announced in Indonesia today are: the JAECOO J7 SHS is offered at a price of Rp499,900,000, and the JAECOO J7 AWD is priced at Rp549,900,000.
For the price of Rp 549,900,000, customers will get free IoV (internet of vehicle) access for 3 years, a vehicle warranty for 6 years or 150,000 km, an engine warranty for 10 years or 1,000,000 km, free maintenance for 4 years or 60,000 km, free emergency assistance for 3 years, free vehicle pickup service for 2 years, and free insurance for 1 year.
For the J7 SHS, priced at Rp499,900,000, only the first 1,000 customers will receive one free wall charger unit and free IoV access for three years. In addition, customers also get a six-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, a ten-year or 1,000,000 KM engine warranty, and an eight-year or 160,000 km high-voltage component warranty.
The J7 SHS purchase package also includes free maintenance for four years or 60,000 KM, free emergency assistance for three years, free vehicle pickup service for two years, and free insurance for one year. All these benefits add more value to vehicle ownership.
For those seeking more versatile toughness, the JAECOO J7 AWD comes with an intelligent all-wheel-drive system and seven adaptive driving modes. Its dynamic suspension system allows the car to conquer various terrains with stability and comfort.
Designed for maximum performance on city streets and off-road tracks, the J7 AWD is equipped with a 1.6L TGDI engine with 183 hp and 275 Nm of torque. The 7-speed Getrag dual-clutch transmission helps tackle mud, potholes, and a high ground clearance of up to 200 mm.
Furthermore, the J7 AWD can conquer obstacles such as gravel, inclines, and slippery surfaces with seven driving modes: Economy, Standard, Sport, Sand, Mud, Snow, and Off-Road. All these features reflect JAECOO's off-road DNA and its ability to deliver uncompromising adventure.
