The BAIC BJ30 Hybrid is set to be a new option for environmentally friendly boxy SUVs, making its debut in Indonesia at GIIAS 2025.
KatadataOTO – BAIC BJ30 Hybrid will add to the options for eco-friendly off-road SUVs (Sport Utility Vehicles) in Indonesia.
For your information, this model will make its debut in Indonesia at the GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) 2025 automotive exhibition.
Salespeople have started taking pre-orders for the BAIC BJ30 Hybrid for interested consumers. The price is estimated to be around IDR 500 million.
This means the BJ30 Hybrid will be cheaper compared to its predecessor, the BAIC BJ40 Plus, which is not equipped with hybrid technology.
For your information, the current price of the BJ40 Plus is around IDR 698 million on the road in Jakarta.
The BAIC BJ30 Hybrid has a tough exterior look with a distinctive grille featuring LED lights that frame the headlights and grille.
Overall, its shape is boxy and rugged. The top is equipped with silver-colored roof rails.
Several parts, such as the side mirrors and fenders, are finished in black, adding to the sporty impression of the BAIC BJ30 Hybrid. The wheels are quite large at 19 inches, wrapped in 235/60 tires.
The BAIC BJ30 Hybrid is equipped with modern features such as keyless entry, wireless charging, a one-button start, rain-sensing front wipers, and a 360-degree camera.
In terms of dimensions, the BJ30 Hybrid measures 4,730 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, 1,790 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. Meanwhile, its ground clearance is 215 mm.
The engine used has a capacity of 1,500 cc combined with a battery and an electric motor. This configuration allows the car to produce 403 hp and a peak torque of 685 Nm.
Power is channeled through a DHT automatic transmission to all wheels (4WD/Four Wheel Drive).
