KatadataOTO – Wuling Motors is reportedly preparing a new electric car. The product is rumored to be launched at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025.
According to a leak from a salesperson, this Electric Vehicle (EV) can already be ordered by consumers in the country.
“The unit is planned to be displayed at GIIAS 2025, but if you want to order, you can,” said the salesperson when contacted by KatadataOTO, Friday (11/07).
He further stated that for consumers interested in owning the new Wuling electric car, they only need to submit a fund starting from Rp 5 million.
Later, consumers who make a purchase now will be prioritized to receive their units first.
“It's okay if you want to book first, later at GIIAS 2025 I will register you so you can get benefits or prizes there,” he continued.
However, this salesperson was still reluctant to leak further information about the new four-wheeled vehicle.
Including the price of the Wuling electric car that will be launched at the GIIAS 2025 automotive exhibition.
He only mentioned that their prospective electric car that will be marketed soon is the Wuling Jiachen.
The Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) will be marketed with powertrain options of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE). Then there are Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) versions.
Unfortunately, there is no complete detailed information regarding the specifications of the Wuling Jiachen. However, in terms of dimensions, it has a length of 4,785 mm, a width of 1,820 mm, and a height of 1,760 mm.
“In China, its name is Wuling Jiachen, (configured with) three rows,” he asserted.
Citing various sources, the Wuling Jiachen carries a 1,500 cc capacity engine. It is then paired with a CVT transmission.
To provide a sense of security to consumers, the Wuling Jiachen is equipped with four airbags located at the front passenger and driver seats.
For your information, the Wuling Jiachen is an entry-level four-wheeled vehicle from this Chinese manufacturer.
So it is worth waiting to see the continuation of this new Wuling product. Whether it can tempt consumers in Indonesia or not.
Considering the electric and hybrid car market in the country has quite tight competition. Moreover, all manufacturers from China have flagship products.
Starting from Chery, Jaeco, Xpeng to Maxus. Therefore, Wuling must be able to present a four-wheeled vehicle with various advantages.
