KatadataOTO – In 2025, the choice of electric-powered MPVs (Multi Purpose Vehicles) in the country will become more diverse. Besides the Zeekr 009 and Denza D9, Xpeng has officially entered Indonesia, bringing their premium model, the X9.

For your information, the right-hand drive version of the Xpeng X9 also recently launched in Hong Kong and is rumored to debut in Malaysia soon this year.

In Hong Kong, two types are offered to consumers: FWD Standard Range and FWD Long Range. The main difference between the two vehicle types lies in their driving range.

The FWD Standard Range variant can support a journey of up to 480 km (WLTP) on a single full charge. Meanwhile, the Long Range version goes further at 575 km.

The Xpeng X9 has an unconventional design compared to its future competitors like the Denza D9 and Zeekr 009.

Its shape tends to be boxy with sharp lines carving the sides of the body. Thanks to its 'Starship-inspired design concept', the Xpeng X9 is claimed to have a low drag coefficient of 0.227 Cd.

For your information, passenger cars generally have a drag coefficient ranging from 0.3 to 0.6.

Only three color options are available, including silver, black, and white, giving the Xpeng X9 a minimalist yet futuristic impression.

Moving to the interior, the Xpeng X9 emphasizes a luxurious feel similar to that offered by the Zeekr 009. There is a small refrigerator for cooling or heating food and soft drinks.

In the second row, Xpeng has embedded a large 21.4-inch home entertainment screen accompanied by 23 Xopera speakers to support the in-cabin entertainment system.
