KatadataOTO – BMW Motorrad enlivens the IIMS (Indonesia International Motor Show) 2025 event. This year, the German manufacturer is immediately marketing three new motorcycles.
Each targets a different segment. This is done to entice visitors at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.
“We are proud to present three new products at IIMS 2025, namely the high-performance BMW R1300 GS Adventure motorcycle, the classic R12 S model, and the Sport S1000RR variant,” said Josep Amarinto Setiawan, Head of Product and Sales for BMW Motorrad Indonesia, on Thursday (15/02).
Josep explained that all new BMW motorcycles offer various advantages for two-wheeled vehicle enthusiasts.
Like the BMW R1300 GS Adventure, it is claimed to be very suitable for adventuring. At its core, it relies on a 1,300 cc two-cylinder boxer engine.
It can produce 145 hp at 7,750 rpm. Then its peak torque reaches 149 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
This big bike also has a weight of up to 269 kg. Then the seat height can be adjusted between 820 mm and 850 mm.
Moving on to the second product, the BMW R12 S enters the classic sport segment. It is built on the BMW R12 nineT platform.
In terms of design, this new BMW motorcycle looks like a café racer. It also has a fairing painted in orange and white.
To spoil its owners, the BMW R12 S relies on a 1,170 cc boxer-twin engine. It produces 109 hp at 7,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque.
Lastly, there is the BMW S1000RR which has received significant changes in terms of appearance. Compared to the previous generation, the latest version offers a more aggressive look.
It is equipped with a fairly large winglet at the front. It is claimed to improve the aerodynamics of the new BMW motorcycle.
Behind its body lies a 999 cc four-cylinder engine. It can produce up to 210 hp at 13,750 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm.
Thanks to that much power, the BMW S1000RR can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds.
Now, all the new BMW motorcycles above can be ordered at IIMS 2025. The prices offered are quite varied, here is the summary.
It should be noted that all the prices above are OTR (On The Road) for the Special Capital Region of Jakarta.
