32 Roads Closed During Jakarta International Marathon 2025

KatadataOTO – 32 roads in Jakarta will be closed as they will be used for the Jakarta International Marathon 2025. This measure will be in effect from 03:30 AM to 11:30 AM (WIB).

The closures will be implemented using barricades, water barriers, and traffic cones. The public is advised to adjust their travel schedules and prepare alternative routes to avoid mobility disruptions.

The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency claims to have prepared 31 alternative routes for people needing access to roads around the marathon route, ensuring that traffic will continue to flow smoothly.

"The DKI Provincial Government also ensures that public transportation such as Transjakarta, MRT, and LRT will remain operational, although several Transjakarta routes will be diverted," said Syafrin Liputo, Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency.

It should be noted that the Jakarta International Marathon 2025 will be attended by 30,000 participants from 52 countries. The event is held as part of the celebration for Jakarta's 498th anniversary.

The race will start at the Monas interchange and finish inside the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium in Senayan. The race is divided into three categories: 10k (10 km), Half Marathon (21.09 km), and Marathon (42.19 km).
