Following widespread criticism, the Silaturahride route will no longer pass through the Casablanca Flyover.

KatadataOTO – Pramono Anung, Governor of DKI Jakarta, wants to hold a friendly gathering and cycling event (Silaturahride). The event is planned to take place on Saturday (19/04).

However, many people criticized it. This is because the event was planned to pass through the Casablanca Non-Toll Flyover (JLNT).

Seeing this, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) made a change to the Silaturahride 2025 route with Pramono Anung.

“We see that there are still people who do not fully agree with special activities for cyclists using the JLNT,” said Syafrin Liputo, Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, to Antara on Thursday (17/04).

Syafrin explained that many parties are of the opinion that the Casablanca JLNT is only intended for four-wheeled vehicles.

“Therefore, we decided to adjust the Silaturahride route to the Sudirman Loop,” he continued.

Furthermore, Syafrin revealed that they have determined a new route for the Silaturahride participants to take.

Starting from DKI Jakarta City Hall-Horse Statue Roundabout-HI Roundabout-Semanggi Interchange-Senayan Roundabout-Semanggi Interchange-HI Roundabout (Looping Sudirman Street three times)-Horse Statue Roundabout-DKI Jakarta City Hall.

This cycling event with the Governor of DKI Jakarta will take place starting at 05:30 AM WIB. The event will then end at 08:00 AM WIB.

Called Safe for Cyclists

For your information, Syafrin had previously stated that the Casablanca JLNT was not dangerous or was safe for cyclists to pass through.

Syafrin stated that the Casablanca JLNT is indeed intended to be used by four-wheeled vehicles.

This is because this road section is designed with only two lanes. Additionally, it is not equipped with a shoulder.

“Therefore, when it is functioning as a traffic lane for four-wheeled vehicles, motorcycles and cyclists are not allowed to enter,” he emphasized.

According to Syafrin, the presence of two-wheeled vehicles or bicycles on the Casablanca JLNT when it is being used by cars can be dangerous.

This is because there is a potential for accidents due to collisions between vehicles. So, the Casablanca JLNT is restricted by them.

It should be noted that the Bike To Work (B2W) Indonesia community had criticized the Silaturahride 2025 event. This is because it was going to pass through the Casablanca JLNT.

“We state our rejection, especially because the cycling route will pass through the Casablanca JLNT, a road that is clearly prohibited for bicycles to cross according to legal regulations,” they said.

B2W even brought up a statement Pramono Anung made during his campaign. They assessed that if the Casablanca JLNT was used as a route for a cycling event, it would be a legalized violation.
