Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road Under Repair Again, Beware of Congestion

KatadataOTO – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is again conducting road repairs on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. This step is taken to ensure that public travel can be more comfortable in the future.

Toll road reconstruction work will be carried out at kilometer 32 of the Jakarta - Cikampek toll road from Saturday (05/07) to Wednesday (09/07).

"The work location starts from Km 32+397 to Km 32+477 on lane 1 in the Cikampek direction from Saturday to Wednesday," said Amri Sanusi, Senior Manager Representative Office 1 of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, as reported by Antara (07/07).

He revealed that the work is part of periodic maintenance on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road and is carried out quite routinely.

“The quality of the toll road needs to be continuously maintained, so we are carrying out activities at points identified through evaluation,” he then affirmed.

Although there are repairs, he ensures there will be no road closures during the reconstruction period. The Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road will continue to operate normally in both the Jakarta and Cikampek directions.

Meanwhile, Ria Marlinda Paallo, VP Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT JTT, explained that her party has prepared mitigation procedures during the repairs. These range from diverting the affected traffic flow and narrowing the work area to preparing for contraflow if congestion occurs.

"We are also coordinating intensively with the Highway Patrol Police regarding traffic management," she said.

Her party has also socialized the work plan by installing outdoor media. This includes everything from informational banners to Dynamic Message Signs in both directions of the Jakarta - Cikampek toll road to ensure the information is received by road users.

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol also apologizes for the inconvenience caused. They also urge road users to anticipate their travel times to avoid traffic congestion.

The company also reminds road users to ensure they have sufficient electronic money balance and to charge their devices and refuel their vehicles before starting their journey. This is so that the journey is expected to be uninterrupted.
