KatadataOTO – The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency has prepared a number of parking areas for people who want to attend the Indonesian anniversary ceremony and the People's Festival Parade. No less than 17 locations have been provided to accommodate the needs of residents

With this, it is hoped that people can leave their vehicles with more peace of mind. The parking locations have also been adjusted to ensure the comfort of visiting residents.

"There are 17 parking areas prepared in the morning for the People's Festival Parade event," said Syafrin Liputo, Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency as reported by RRI.

Nevertheless, the public is still advised to use public transportation to get to the location. This is because a number of traffic engineering schemes will be implemented, so congestion is still expected to occur.

Moreover, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has also set a special public transportation tariff on August 17-18 of Rp 80.

Not only that, the police have also prohibited illegal parking around Monas because it is considered to be able to obstruct the flow of vehicles.
