New Hyundai Creta Jakarta-Lampung Exploration: Its Turbo is Surprising
Katadata OTO Rating:

Powerful, feature-rich, and easy to set up, with an excellent riding position.

The turbo spools up at 1,500 rpm, and the power feels excessive at low speeds.

KatadataOTO – PT HMID (Hyundai Motors Indonesia) officially launched the latest version of the Hyundai Creta recently. Three types are offered: Prime, N Line, and N Line Turbo, with different price tags.

KatadataOTO, along with several other media outlets, had the opportunity to test all three variants on a trip from Jakarta to Lampung.

The journey began using the lowest Hyundai Creta type, the Prime, from Jakarta to Merak Port. The car was filled with four adults and some luggage was placed in the trunk.

Then, we continued with the Creta N Line and finished with the Creta N Line Turbo on our last day in Lampung. The differences lie in the features, additional emblems, and the engine.

It should be noted that the Hyundai Creta Prime and the non-turbo N Line use a 1,500 cc Smartstream G1.5 MPI engine, producing 113.4 hp and 143.8 Nm of torque.

Meanwhile, the Creta N Line, which is equipped with turbo technology, uses a Smartstream 1.5 Turbo GDi engine, which is more powerful at 157.8 hp and a peak torque of 253 Nm.

For a more complete review, here is the test drive of the New Hyundai Creta for the trip from Jakarta to Lampung.

Seating Position

When in the driver's seat of the Creta Prime, we easily found a comfortable seating position and good forward visibility. However, in the lowest type, the adjustment is still conventional, not electric like in the N Line type.
