KatadataOTO – The performance of the low-cost green car (LCGC) market was once again suboptimal. Throughout November 2025, it experienced a slight decline.

Processing data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), distribution from factories to dealers last month was only 8,879 units.

The above number was corrected by 0.7 percent compared to the previous month. Because in October 2025, it reached 8,945 units.

Of course, this is once again a warning for many parties. Because the market for new, affordable cars continues to erode.

This indicates that the automotive industry is not doing well. Furthermore, the economic condition of the lower-middle class has not yet recovered at the end of the year.

In addition, the LCGC segment is also disrupted by cheap electric cars. Many electric vehicles (EVs) are sold in the Rp 100 million range.

Of course, this phenomenon greatly disrupts the existence of affordably priced four-wheeled vehicles. Because the public is becoming interested in using electric cars under Rp 200 million.

On the other hand, the Toyota Calya is still the star in the LCGC car segment. Gaikindo recorded that 3,122 units of the product were distributed.

Meanwhile, below it is the Daihatsu Sigra, which recorded 2,105 units. Then followed by the Honda Brio Satya with 1,717 units.

Next, the Toyota Agya occupies the fourth position. Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) sent 1,415 units of this LCGC car to dealers.

Finally, the Daihatsu Ayla completes the top five best-selling LCGC cars in November 2025. The product was only shipped in 520 units last month.

For your information, overall wholesales of affordable four-wheeled vehicles have reached 112,151 units from January to November 2025.
