KatadataOTO – Towards the end of 2024, Daihatsu gave one unit of a modified Gran Max Taft Guy car to a customer in West Nusa Tenggara. This is part of the Gebyar Merdeka program.

The Daihatsu Gran Max Taft Guy was handed over at the official Prima Parama Mobilindo Daihatsu Cakranegara dealership in Mataram City, NTB.

To enter the program, the customer named Iskandar purchased a Low Cost Green Car (LCGC), the Daihatsu Ayla.

The Daihatsu Ayla is a 5-seater LCGC, available in several variants. The lowest type is sold from Rp 138 million and up, while the highest variant is around Rp 190 million on the road in Jakarta.

He bought the compact-sized car to support his family's mobility and to ease his daily activities as a teacher and a father of three.

“Initially, I only intended to buy a car for my family's needs, I never thought I could get a prize this big. Thank you, Daihatsu, for a program that truly brings surprises and happiness to customers,” said Iskandar in an official broadcast, quoted on Thursday (25/12).

The Gran Max itself is one of Daihatsu's mainstays in Indonesia. As the largest contributor, its sales figures reached 55,425 units in the January-November 2025 period.

This achievement means the Gran Max contributed 44 percent of Daihatsu's total domestic sales.

However, the Gran Max given to Iskandar has been modified. This exclusive modification was developed by Daihatsu together with Gofar Hilman and the National Modificator and Aftermarket (NMAA).

The Gran Max Taft Guy given to Iskandar is wrapped in a green color and has a unique appearance with an adventurous character.

For your information, the Daihatsu Gebyar Merdeka program is intended to appreciate loyal customers who make purchases in the period of July 1 - September 30, 2025.

This applies without model restrictions. Customers can purchase any Daihatsu car model to enter the program and have the chance to win the Gran Max Taft Guy grand prize.
