KatadataOTO – In 2025, a number of brands are discontinuing sales of certain products as part of their marketing strategy.

One of the Japanese brands in Indonesia, Honda, has not explicitly announced any lineup adjustments for Indonesian consumers. However, wholesales (shipments from the factory to dealers) of the City Hatchback have quietly started to run out.

Referring to Gaikindo data, throughout 2025 only one unit of the manual transmission Honda City Hatchback was distributed, while the automatic transmission version was zero.

In early 2025, its newest version, the New Honda City Hatchback RS, was launched with several changes. Its wholesales were recorded at 453 units last year.

But since August 2025, the Honda City Hatchback has no longer been supplied to dealers. Salespeople also mention that the unit is unavailable.

“The Honda City Hatchback is sold out (2025 VIN). We'll most likely have to wait for the 2026 VIN to be released,” said a Honda salesperson when contacted by KatadataOTO recently.

However, they could not confirm when the new Honda City Hatchback would be supplied again.

Currently, the Honda Brio remains one of the biggest sales contributors for the H-badged manufacturer in the country.

In the January-November 2025 period, wholesales of the Brio RS were 2,948 units. Meanwhile, the Brio Satya reached 28,120 units, indicating high demand for the model.

Meanwhile, the Honda City Hatchback seems to target consumers above the Brio, sold for around IDR 384.5 million on the road in Jakarta.

For your information, the latest Honda City Hatchback RS receives minor exterior changes to the grille and spoiler.

Then there is the Electric Lime Metallic color option which enhances the sporty feel of the Honda City Hatchback RS.

There is a new feature included in Honda Sensing, namely the Lead Car Departure Notification System or LCDN.

The Honda City Hatchback is equipped with the Honda Connect connectivity feature, allowing owners to access various vehicle information through a smart device.

The powertrain is still the same as the previous variant, using a 1,500 cc engine that can produce 119 hp and a peak torque of 145 Nm.

However, unlike the previous variant, the new Honda City Hatchback is no longer available with a manual transmission option.
