KatadataOTO – The Indonesian automotive market is welcoming many new models in 2025. Throughout this year, a number of new cars, both refreshed and new generation models, have arrived in the country.

Many of them are environmentally friendly vehicles, both hybrid and electric cars.

The presence of the electrification lineup is a form of the manufacturers' commitment to supporting the government in achieving Net Zero Emission (NZE) by 2060.

Kicking off 2025 in January, an updated version of the Hyundai Creta was presented to consumers with several exterior changes. The most noticeable changes are seen in the grille, headlamp, and taillight design.

Japanese brand Honda launched the latest City Hatchback RS without a ceremony. The model received minor cosmetic changes.

The Audi Q8 debuted in the premium segment towards the end of January. Its price reached IDR 2.7 billion.

Then, the Chinese car brand, BYD, strengthened its name in Indonesia through the presence of a new Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) product, the Sealion 7.

The model, touted as the SUV version of the Seal electric sedan, is sold with a price tag starting from IDR 600 million on the road in Jakarta.

BYD also brought its premium sub-brand and introduced the Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) Denza D9.
