Changan Lumin Driving Impressions

One of the advantages of driving a small-sized car is its agility. Especially when used on city streets.

From the driver's seat, the Changan Lumin provides ample space. Both legroom and headroom are quite spacious, even for people with a larger build.

At 169 cm tall, we did not feel cramped in the first-row cabin.

The absence of a partition between the driver and the front passenger adds to the comfort during the journey.

Mastering this electric car requires some serious adaptation. Because the locations of some vehicle feature buttons are unconventional.

For example, turning on the AC (Air Conditioner) cannot be done with just a single press.

The turn signal stalk itself is on the left side, like in European cars. This is different from the Wuling Air EV, which has been adjusted for the Indonesian market.

The connectivity features are also quite difficult, as they require downloading an uncommon application.

The Lumin also does not provide steering angle or seat height adjustments. As a result, it is quite difficult to find an ideal driving position.

Furthermore, the Lumin's storage space is also quite limited. So the second-row seats become a temporary place to put things.

The Changan Lumin is claimed to be able to carry four adults. Although in reality, it feels a bit cramped if occupied by more than two people.
