KatadataOTO – It's not just Jakarta, West Java, and East Java that are implementing a motor vehicle tax amnesty in 2025. A number of other provinces are also implementing it.

Most recently, the East Kotawaringin (Kotim) Regency Government in Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) has also implemented a similar program.

They are waiving several items of arrears and fines for motor vehicle tax (PKB). This is effective from June 23 to September 23, 2025.

“This policy is a follow-up to Central Kalimantan Governor's Regulation (Pergub) Number 24 of 2025 and Central Kalimantan Governor's Regulation Number 25 of 2025, which apply throughout Central Kalimantan, including Kotim,” said Kotim Regent Halikinnor to Antara on Wednesday (25/06).

Halikinnor further explained that Central Kalimantan Governor's Regulation Number 24 of 2025 regulates the waiver of arrears or principal and fines for motor vehicle tax in the Central Kalimantan Province.

Meanwhile, Central Kalimantan Governor's Regulation Number 25 of 2025 regulates the waiver of principal motor vehicle tax and administrative sanctions in the form of fines for motor vehicles being transferred to the Central Kalimantan Province.

Based on the Governor's Regulations above, the Kotim Regional Government has issued Circular Letter Number 000/tB9/Bapenda-UM/2025

Regarding the Waiver of Arrears on Principal and Fines for Motor Vehicle Tax and the Waiver of Principal Tax and Administrative Sanctions in the Form of Fines for Motor Vehicles Transferred to the Central Kalimantan Region.

It regulates several matters, such as the waiver of PKB arrears and administrative sanctions in the form of fines for owners of cars or motorcycles with KH license plates.

Furthermore, there is a waiver of principal tax and administrative sanctions in the form of fines for motor vehicles being transferred to the Central Kalimantan Province.

Elimination of principal tax and administrative sanctions in the form of fines for motor vehicles undergoing a change of ownership (transfer of ownership fee).

“This provision can only be processed at SAMSAT joint offices throughout Central Kalimantan,” he said.
