KatadataOTO – The Wuling Cortez Darion PHEV has successfully garnered positive interest from the public. This is proven by the large number of orders they have received.
Although not specified in detail, orders for the Wuling Cortez Darion have reached thousands of units. This achievement shows that customer trust in the product is still very high.
“Orders have reached 1,300 units,” said Brian Gomgom, Brand Communication Senior Manager of Wuling Motors Indonesia.
With this, the public still has the opportunity to take part in the Early Bird Privilege. The program gives 1,500 Wuling Cortez Darion buyers the opportunity to get a special price.
“There are still 200 units left, but that number seems like it will run out quickly. Because we will also be holding regional launches in several locations,” he then added.
Vehicle deliveries will be carried out in stages starting this month. Thus, it is hoped that customers will not have to wait long for the units they have ordered.
“For customers in the Greater Jakarta area, deliveries will start this month. Meanwhile, for those outside that area, it will be carried out next month,” he added.
He also revealed that of the many units that have been ordered, the EV variant is claimed to dominate the market.
“The number of orders is higher for the EV than the PHEV. This is because Wuling is better known as an electric car company,” he then added.
It should be noted that the Wuling Cortez Darion PHEV was launched in early November 2025. The car comes with a variety of interesting advantages.
One of them is the installation of a 1,500 cc gasoline engine. The powertrain is believed to be able to produce 145 kW or 194 hp of power.
The manufacturer has also installed a battery sufficient for a range of 125 km. When the power sources are combined, the car is claimed to be able to travel more than 1,000 km.
To accompany the journey, Wuling has installed a 12.8-inch screen. This feature can connect to a smartphone, ensuring the driver stays connected.
On the highest variant, the EX, the car is equipped with various safety features. Starting from 6 SRS airbags, ABS+EBD with ESC, Electric Parking Brake with Auto-hold, Hill Hold Control to TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System).
