KatadataOTO – Various facilities have been prepared by the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) to welcome the 2025-2026 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays. One of them is the free motorcycle transport program.
This is done to support the smooth mobility of citizens, reduce traffic congestion, and improve rider safety.
“The Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation is extending the free motorcycle transport service by train until January 5, 2026,” said Arif Anwar, Director of Railway Traffic and Transportation at the Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation, as reported by Antara on Saturday (13/12).
According to Arif, there are several considerations for extending the free service period.
For example, the high interest and enthusiasm of the public to participate in the free motorcycle transport service program during the 2025-2026 Nataru holiday period.
"Alhamdulillah, as of today, Friday (12/12) at 20:00 WIB, 1,844 motorcycles with 3,052 passengers have registered for the Nataru free motorcycle transport program,” said Arif.
Arif also hopes that the program can be fully utilized by the public, especially those who want to go on vacation or homecoming (mudik).
Additionally, the registration period for the free motorcycle transport is from December 1-29, 2025, and January 1-4, 2026.
The transport period is from December 23-30, 2025, and January 2-5, 2026, which is very helpful for the public.
He stated that people interested in participating in the program can register in two ways.
First, online via nusantara.kemenhub.go.id. Second, offline by visiting the designated registration stations.
The registration stations are Jakarta Gudang Station, Tangerang Station, Bekasi Station, Depok Baru Station, Cirebon Prujakan Station, and Tegal Station.
There are also Pekalongan Station, Semarang Tawang Station, Purwokerto Station, Kebumen Station, Kutoarjo Station, Lempuyangan Station, and Purwosari Station.
