KatadataOTO – The lineup of electric motorcycles in Indonesia has officially grown by one. This is because the Indomobil e-motor Adora is now being sold in the country.
Born as an environmentally friendly vehicle, this unit is believed to be able to attract public interest. It has a futuristic design and features that will pamper prospective consumers.
“This motorcycle is designed to provide comfort for users in Indonesia. It has several advantages that are not yet available from competitors,” said Pius Wirawan, CEO of PT Indomobil Emotor, during the launch (02/06).
The advantage of the EV (Electric Vehicle) Adora is its Push Assist Mode. This feature makes it easier for consumers when stopping on an incline.
So users don't need to hold the brake while waiting at a red light.
Furthermore, it is also equipped with an Emergency Mode feature. This functions to release the unit's load when a problem occurs.
With the hope that when the rider has to push the motorcycle, the load will be lighter. Because the motorcycle can still be moved forward using the Emergency Mode button.
“This feature is useful when you have a flat tire or a broken throttle cable, for example. So consumers can more easily move it to a safer place,” Pius added.
Speaking of the iron horse's specifications, the Adora has a total weight of 150 kilograms. The front suspension uses a telescopic fork model.
While the rear relies on a Dual Shock and Dual Swing Arm. Then, the vehicle's ground clearance is 145 mm.
Then, the wheelbase of this electric motorcycle reaches 1,322 mm. Or equivalent to electric scooters in general.
The Adora is equipped with 80/90–14 inch tires on the front. For the rear, it is fitted with 90/90–14 inch tires.
“Based on our research, motorcycles that use 14-inch tires have better comfort. Like the underbone motorcycles of the past,” said Pius.
To provide a different experience for its loyal customers, the Adora is also equipped with a battery safety device. Because this power storage component has a rather expensive price tag.
The Indomobil Adora electric motorcycle is marketed at a starting price of Rp 24.5 million for the Basic type. Meanwhile, the Livery variant is sold for Rp 24.9 million.
This iron horse is available in six attractive color options for each type, including Gunmetal Grey, Galaxy Black, Mint Green, Ocean Blue, Sakura Blossom, and Angelic White.
