BYD Seal Hybrid Specifications: Jakarta-Bali on a Full Tank

KatadataOTO – BYD Seal Hybrid is one of the new models touted to enter Indonesia. This is because the model has been registered by the manufacturer in Indonesia.

In terms of appearance, there are no significant differences with the BYD Seal EV that has been marketed domestically. However, upon closer inspection, its appearance seems more minimalist.

For example, the use of regular door handles instead of a flush model. Then, the absence of large side skirts makes the sedan look sleeker and more elegant, different from its sibling which emphasizes a sporty feel.

As an advantage, the BYD Seal Hybrid is said to have a claimed comprehensive range, a combination of the gasoline engine and battery, of up to 2,000 km.

In China, there are currently three types offered: Luxury, Premium, and Flagship. The main difference lies in the battery capacity.

For the two lowest types, the battery is 7.68 kWh. Meanwhile, the Flagship variant is equipped with a larger power source of 15.87 kWh.

In terms of size, the L x W x H dimensions of the BYD Seal Hybrid are 4,780 mm x 1,837 mm x 1,515 mm, slightly shorter than the Seal EV (4,800 mm x 1,875 mm x 1,460 mm).

The tire and wheel size is also smaller than the Seal EV, using R16 wheels wrapped in 225/60 tires. The wheel design used has been changed.
